One of our favorite piece s this week , is this lovely old pre-loved chair, which was hand painted with Annie Sloan old white chalk paint and waxed.

reupholstered in this linen fabric with the fabulous birds by Edinburgh weavers.

BOOKBINDING WORKSHOP @ THE MAKE PLACE

BOOKBINDING WORKSHOP

Sat. 31 st July 10-1 ish. come and be inspired, we will concentrate on the Japanese stab binding technique, ideal for all books but stunning for a photo album. There will be lots of samples to inspire you, we supply all the beautiful materials. Take home a completed book ready to be filled with treasured memories and inspirations. Printed instructions also provided to take home, and not to mention refreshments and delicious cake on vintage china while you work. Get creative !

Kate Betts is our workshop Leader , Kate graduated in fine art in 1995 and has been a teaching artist since. She has exhibited in London , Dublin , Paris , New York and many more.

Kate has taught in NCAD, The National Gallery of Ireland, The National Print Museum, Blackchurch Print Studio and lots of other great places. She has a huge range of skills and experience in making art and craft and more importantly just loves to share her skills and inspirations with others. Be Inspired !
